Interdisciplinary Marketing Strategy
Based on what you have learned to the end of Module 5, outline in point form an interdisciplinary marketing strategy you could use to promote yourself via a portfolio website (200 words). This could include CMS tools learned in this subject, SEO strategies, print, audio and video.
Central to my marketing strategy would be firstly building a mailing list. In order to build one I’d do the following:
• Focus on developing my professional network through the use of social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and also in person events (SemiPermanent).
• Use social media to encourage followers to subscribe and visit my website.
• Boost some of my design work on Instagram in order to promote it to people For You Page in order to build my following.
I’d also employ good SEO practices to ensure my website is ranking appropriately. I could do this by:
•. Ensuring I have clean permalink structures across the website
• Ensure my content writing utilises keywords and link-building consistently.
Once I have visitors going to my website, I’d ensure I constantly develop my website based on insights gathered from Google Analytics. This includes, but isn’t limited to tracking your websites most popular content, learn about the demographics of your users.
